OUR MISSION: We exist to follow Jesus by making disciples who know Him, live like Him, and make Him known.

“Follow Jesus” Jesus is the Son of God, the Risen Savior, the Good Shepherd, and the Head of the Church. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him by God the Father. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. So, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we strive to trust and obey everything He commanded. (Matthew 16:15-16; 28:18; Luke 24:6-7; John 10:11-16; 14:6; Colossians 1:15-20; Gal. 5:16-26)

“Making disciples” Jesus gave us the command to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that He commanded. Therefore, we carry the Gospel into all the world and call others to trust and follow Him. (Matthew 28:18-20; 4:19; Acts 1:8).

“Who know Him” Knowing Jesus is a personal decision to repent of sin and trust in Him as our Lord and Savior. When we hear the Gospel and believe in our hearts, we are saved by grace and sealed with the Holy Spirit. Then, we celebrate new life in Christ through baptism. To know Jesus more is our desire as we abide in Him daily. (John 17:3; Mark 1:14-15; John 1:12-13; 15:4-5; Romans 10:9; Ephesians 1:13-14)

“Live like Him” Following Jesus means we do what He did. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Jesus was obedient to the Father and loved others with humility. So, with our hearts and minds being transformed by God’s Spirit, we yearn to live like He did – glorifying God and humbly loving others. (Matthew 16:24; John 13:14-15; Rom. 12:2; Eph.5:1-2; Phil. 2:5-11)

“Make Him known” Jesus calls us to be His witnesses in our communities and to the ends of the earth. A witness tells others who Jesus is, and how He has transformed their life. Our responsibility is not to save anyone; it is God alone who transforms hearts and saves. Our responsibility is to be faithful to share the Gospel respectfully with words and actions. (Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14-15; Matthew 5:14-16; 1 Pet. 2:9; 3:15; 1 Jn. 3:18)

OUR VISION: To see Gospel transformation in Indian Land and beyond.

Believing that God can do exceedingly more than we hope or imagine, we envision a Spirit-empowered Gospel transformation demonstrated by new disciples being baptized and sincerely following Jesus, a caring community that embodies the steadfast love of God, leadership multiplication that calls, equips, and sends leaders to serve God’s mission in the world, and church planting that brings the Gospel to new places.

New Disciples We see lost people finding new life in Christ as the Spirit softens their hearts and we reach them with love, hospitality, service, and Gospel clarity. (Matthew 28:18-20)

Caring Community We see a loving community of disciples whose generosity, humility, and unity are a beacon of hope pointing to the surpassing worth of Christ. (John 13:35)

Leadership Multiplication We see casual congregants becoming dedicated disciples as we develop leaders to use their spiritual gifts to serve God’s mission in the world. (2 Timothy 2:2)

Church Planting We see disciples being sent to start new churches that reach new places and new people with the Gospel. (Romans 10:14-15)

OUR VALUES:

"We Keep the Gospel Front and Center" We believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God for salvation. And the Gospel is the source of our unity. So, we lay down our preferences and remove every distraction to the proclamation of the Gospel. (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 2:2; 15:3-4; Galatians 3:28)

"We Follow God’s Word as Truth" Jesus taught the authority of Scripture and used it throughout His ministry. The Bible is God-breathed and equips disciples for every good work. So, in a culture of confusion and divergent opinions, we trust and obey God’s Word as Truth. (Matthew 4:4; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 19:7-11; 119:105)

"We Believe in the Power of Prayer" Prayer is essential to growing our relationship with God. Prayer connects us to God’s peace and power. Jesus and the disciples prayed constantly. So, we commit ourselves to being steadfast in prayer with praise and thanksgiving. (Mark 1:35; Philippians 4:6-7; Colossians 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

"We See Life as Worship" We believe worship is more than singing songs and attending services. In response to God’s mercy, we are called to offer our entire lives as worship. So, we express our love for God with every thought, word, and action. And we give sacrificially of our time and resources to bring the hope and healing of Jesus to the world. (Mark 12:30; Romans 12:1-2; Colossians 3:17; Psalm 103:1)

"We Care For One Another" Jesus commands us to love and serve one another as He loved and served us. The disciples came together to encourage faith and good works. So, we commit to caring for one another with sincere love and humble service. We rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. (John 13:34-35; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25; Romans 12:9-16; Ephesians 4:2-3; Philippians 2:3-4)

"We Love Lost People" Jesus came to seek and save the lost. He shared meals with sinners and tax collectors, lepers, and prostitutes. So, we follow Jesus’ example by pursuing those far from God with hospitality and compassion. Sincere love compels us to share the truth of the Gospel respectfully. We rejoice with heaven at each person that is found in Christ. (Matthew 9:10-13; Luke 15:1-31; 19:10; John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:20)
