Impact is a word we throw around allot at Southbrook, and for good reason. We beleive that we exist to make an impact for the glory of Christ. And, we do so by making a mark in our body (church), in our community, and in the world. Once a year we take a breif look inward to see how we are doing at achieving this goal and cast fision as to what we can do to improve on the impact we make.
These are our goals for 2011:
Mark the Body.
- Empower our families by re-visioning and further equipping children’s and students ministries.
- Improving our facility to create environments for connection and discipleship.
Mark the Community.
- Improve the exterior design of the Weddington campus to be more effective in reaching the surrounding community.
- Enhance our multi-site experience and outreach to the community of Monroe through facility improvements.
Mark the World.
- Send four, multi-disciplined, teams to rebuild communities and share the gospel in the earthquake devastated communities of Haiti.
- Distribute newly translated bibles to remote communities in the Andes mountains of Peru.
- Establish a dedicated facility for the Closet ministry and increase the effectiveness of outreach in Monroe.
How can you partner with us in making an Impact?
- Pray – Join us in asking God to provide the financial resources needed to accomplish this ambitious vision.
- Serve – Make yourself available to partner with us in these upcoming opportunities.
- Give – Commit to give financially over the next 12 months, above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings.
- Our goal over the next 12 months is to raise $550,000 to fund this initiative.
